Mobile Brand Showcase
Client: National Trust for Scotland
We were asked by the National Trust for Scotland to produce a concept for an archaeological mobile exhibition that could be moved to dig sites as needed. Our idea was to create a mobile unit that reflected the landscape and site and was clearly alien to the surroundings, ‘the NTS has landed so to speak.
The main unit would act as a small exhibition for visitors who happen upon the site and would explain why the NTS are digging in this location along with finds and stories they unearth. In addition, we added a surrounding mobile exhibit barrier which would aid the visitors understanding of the excavated area specifically, the days finds, artists sketch interpretations of the finds, etc. The barrier would also help in the demarking the dig site and keeping the visitors at an appropriate distance to protect the excavation.
