Culloden Battlefield Museum
Client: National Trust of Scotland
Working with the National Trust for Scotland and Vision XS we developed a 5 year masterplan for the Culloden Visitor Centre and Battlefield.
The plan looks at the site holistically in terms of capacity, visitor offer, visitor journey, operation & management, business planning and phased construction planning.
The result was a concise development plan that extends the building and welcome/reception areas externally and internally to deal with the ever-growing visitor numbers. It includes new and extended retail and F&B areas and a new experiential walkthrough for the Culloden Story, now an accredited Museum.
An expanded ‘legacy’ interpretation scheme extending to a new roof garden was designed as well as more impactful messaging and interpretation moments on the battlefield.
