The Africa zone is the second themed space in the Ocean Kingdom journey. It takes visitors from the quiet estuaries of the continent’s great rivers where Manatee graze, through a dramatic F&B and retail themed around great lake markets to the sheer drama of the Rift Valley waterfalls.

 

Along the way visitors encounter different marine mammals and learn about their evolution, see Africa’s different climate zones and varied landscapes and experience vibrant cultures and contrasting ways of life. The central focus is a large F&B space featuring evocations of great rivers and savannah skies and wildlife. A retail offer is centred around an impressive mud building.

 

As guests move on towards the Water and Coral zones they pass between vast Tiger fish tanks fed by tall waterfalls and an immersive AV experience showing how Africa’s Rift Valley was formed. The finale is a live performance space themed around a lively fishing village and tanks filled with colourful and varied Cichlids..
